Deleting your account and your data

This page is public on purpose. You do not need an account, and you do not need to sign in, to ask us to delete one.

If you use the CLTimeTracker staff app

Your employer opened your account and your employer is the agency responsible for your records under the Privacy Act 2020, so ask them first. They can correct or remove your entries themselves.

You can also do it yourself in the app. Open the account menu from the avatar in the top right, choose Delete my account, and confirm with your password. That takes effect straight away, because you have proved who you are by signing in.

If you would rather ask us directly, use the contact form or email info@cadloft.co.nz from the address your account is registered to, and name the employer you work for. We confirm the request with them, delete what we are able to delete, and tell you when it is done. We respond within 20 working days and usually sooner.

What gets deleted

What is kept, and why

Wage, time and holiday records that your employer is required by law to keep are retained. They are held against your employment record rather than against an app account, so removing your sign-in does not remove them, and your employer remains the agency responsible for them.

Records are kept for the period New Zealand law requires: generally six years for wage, time and holiday records, and seven years for tax records. After that they are deleted.

If your business is closing its whole account

A tenant closing its account can ask us to delete everything it holds on the platform. We agree an export window first so the business keeps its own records, then delete. The same statutory retention applies: financial records and the time records that feed payroll are kept for the period the law requires, and then deleted.

Ask through the contact form or at info@cadloft.co.nz, from an address we can verify against the account.

If you only used the contact form on this website

Then all we hold is the enquiry you sent: your name, your email address, anything you typed, and the date. Ask us at info@cadloft.co.nz and we delete it. There is no account to close.

Children

The platform is business software, provided to businesses for their staff. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

If you are not satisfied

You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz. Our privacy policy sets out what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
